Diaper Caddy Essentials: Everything You Need to Stay Organized on the Go!

Here's everything I keep in my diaper caddy to handle any situation with confidence:

Hygiene Essentials

  • WaterWipes - These 99.9% water wipes are plastic-free and unscented means no irritation even during those multiple daily changes.

  • Hand Sanitizer - A travel-sized bottle gets used constantly, especially when changing diapers in less-than-ideal locations where handwashing isn't immediately available.

  • Spray Bottle with Distilled Water - This simple addition has been a game-changer for stubborn messes! A quick spritz helps clean delicate skin without excessive wiping that can cause irritation.

  • Paper Towels - For those explosive situations that require more than just wipes. Having a few folded sheets ready will save many outfits and surfaces!

Diaper Change Necessities

  • Pampers Swaddlers - I keep at least 5 diapers in my caddy at all times. These particular ones have the wetness indicator strip that are incredibly helpful, especially in those early newborn days.

  • Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment - This multipurpose ointment will prevent any diaper rash for us when applied at the first sign of redness.

  • Onesies - For those messes that bleed through! Having a change of clothes is essential.

Comfort Items

  • Small Blanket - A lightweight muslin blanket serves multiple purposes: emergency changing pad, nursing cover, sun shield, comfort item, burp cloth, or impromptu swaddle.

  • A small toy - To keep baby stimulated and occupied during a change.

What makes this system work so beautifully is having everything contained in one portable caddy with designated spots for each item. I can grab it one-handed (crucial when holding a baby!) and know that I have absolutely everything needed to handle diaper emergencies wherever they may occur.
